Foreclosure survival 101...

Who knew 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago, that foreclosure would be a common everyday occurrence in our country. We lived in the "Land of the Free", we didn't know that meant the politicians had given so much "free" to every other country our own people would be in debt all out of proportion.

When we bought our homes back when the market was booming, we were filled with excitement about owning our homes and for different reasons. Mine was to be my retirement home in another state, and Jamie's was a home where she could raise her three children close to the grandparents and in the neighborhood where she grew up. Jamie's children even attended the same elementary school as their  parents.

When the first inclination comes that you might lose your home you experience a myriad of emotions, from anxiety, stress to sadness and every other possible feeling in between. As the inevitable comes closer and you know you will be losing your home to foreclosure a whole new set of emotions crop up. You wonder how could this happen to me?
